Transitioning into the teaching profession

We are getting close to the finish line. It is nerve-wracking to think that we are almost done finishing our journey here at Brandon University. I certainly learned a lot and made lifelong relationships. I am very thankful to my professors and classmates for making this a memorable journey. Transitioning into the teaching profession is quite scary because we are not students anymore next year. We are actual teachers. I will strive to provide my future students with a positive and engaging environment. In the near future, I want to become an educator that can help students and hopefully be remembered as a teacher that made a difference inside and outside the classroom. My teaching philosophy is building meaningful and valid relationships with my students because I believe that is necessary for this profession. Reflecting on my mistakes and past experiences will help me create a more diverse and healthy teaching practice.
